NC Forever, a unique coalition of businesses and non-profit organizations that share a commitment to conservation of North Carolina’s lands and waters, will be holding a virtual budget briefing on state conservation funding on November 1, 2022 starting at 3PM.
The briefing will feature many state leaders including NC Forever Chair and NC Recreation and Parks Association Executive Director Michelle Wells, NC Budget Director Kristin Walker, NC Department of Environment Secretary Elizabeth Biser, Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Secretary D. Reid Wilson, and NC Commissioner of Agriculture Steve Troxler.
Each panelist will discuss natural resource funding in the state budget and the state’s current economic outlook both backwards and looking forwards at NC’s budget as it relates to our lands and waters. Registration for this virtual event is free but required. Register here.
